top or bottom

hey im currently building this box, thanks to the specs, and before i cut holes for the subwoofer, i was wondering if it matters if the subs are mounted on top of the box, under the seat, or under the box pointing at the floor. ive seen it both ways but i dont know if the woofer will hit the bottom of the seat when in use? just wondering whats the best way to go?

None of these boxes will even work in your truck. These boys all got the new body style trucks. Your best bet would be to remove the rear console and build a box there.

I ended up nuilding a 16"X12"X7"X5" box for one 10" subwoofer. The materials cost me under $30.00 and the sub sounds amazing. If anyone is interested in pics, details, etc. let me know and I can help you out..and this only took about 1HR.

I would like to get the info from you if I can.....Je21@***.net

I would leave the console in and build a box for behind the seats .

Great looking box

I built this box. It looks great, I had a few problems from trying to do the math from adjusting to the 3/4 MDF. one side is alittle off but still fits. If your going to build this box go 52" the passenger side is way short and you could use the extra airspace

Is that a down firing sub? I assumed it was but the other pic of one installed confused me. If it is downfiring how much room is there between the bottom of the box and the floor? Any idea on how much clearance you should have?

Thanks

Glad to see LOW E here... so I know the answer...if I had to choose between sealed or ported...ported right??? Okay then...ported, I'm a rookie... what size hole do I need to cut for the port if I was to go with (2)-10'; where??~ I havn't selected the sub yet.
Also, which is better downward or up?? I'm leaning towards down, but any suggestions on the leg length then? BESIDES one small enough to make the box fit under the seat
