Which sub is right for me?

Alright. I got a 500/1 JL audio amp back from a friend that had it on loan, but couldnt pay. I was looking at putting either 1 10'' or 2 10'' subs under the back seat. Ive been looking around at shallow mounts, but havent seen many options. so far ive seen the Rockford P3 shallow, Kicker CVT, and a Pioneer Premier. I think I saw a JL shallow mount too, but it seemed kinda pricey. Im not out for killer base, just want overall better bass quality while watching movies. I mainly listen to rock and country, so nothing thats gonna shatter windows. Finally getting around to starting a decent audio build for my 01 screw. components and another amp comes next

I have the same amp and I am going to use it to push a single 10. I have been hearing alot of good things about Image Dynamics IDmax (will require a seat lift), their IDQ10 can handle the JL 500/1 and is said to have good SQ. I have been also considering a JL 10w3 but I will most likely go with image dynamics because I am putting their components in and would like to have the drivers match (pet peeve type thing). I am running there components off a JL 300/4.

In my opinion i would not try shallows, if you want to keep in a budget go for two 10" JL W1's. they will slide right under there and fit in any box and will sound great off a 500 rms amp. I found having only one sub doesnt balance out the sound waves since the sub is only on one side. Two subs sound much more cleaner and balanced.

here are some box options for you, not sure if you are screw or scab..

yeah i definately cannot lift the seat, as there will be a baby car seat back there after july. I thought about picking up a set of w3's again, i had 2 10's in my mustang running off my 500/1. i didnt know if the w1's would fit under there or not. i havent had time to take any measurements to see how much room ive actually got. i plan on making the box myself too
