Song Frequency

Okay while listening to Jeezy "Put On" today I noticed a serious lack of sound on the low low note in the bass line (there's like 4 frequencies I guess, the lowest). At first I thought my subsonic filter was up too high, so I pulled over and watched the subs to see if they were moving at this frequency, and they are - the box is just tuned too high and combined with 8" woofers they just dont have that much output at that frequency. Basically theyre just unloading, which I think might not be too good for the drivers.

Anyways, point being, does anyone on here have software and/or a link to be able to tell me what this frequency is so I can filter out it and anything lower? Yes, I searched but came up with nothing.

Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, tried searching a different way and found it.
For anyone wondering here are the frequencies:
55
44
36
27

27 is a no go with 1508s at 40 hz

I just put this song on my iPod actually. I remember a friend playing it in my truck and decided it was a good song for when I needed a bass fix

Yep ha its more a function of the box and tuning than it is the subs. Its kinda a tough spot though - I can go lower, say 30 Hz and really murder the lows but then the top end might not still be there. Might plug off half the port at the risk of port noise to drop tuning down to 30 Hz. If it sounds like **** Ill pull it out, maybe seal the end and throw a 4" aero port in

sounds like it might work. in my 99 i had like 6 inches of space to cram subs and a box under the back seats. it was a really, really tight fit with 2 8's. lol

With drivers that are smaller and dont naturally play low frequencies well in free air, it helps to have a surface close (an inch or two) to the driver for it to build pressure against, essentially increasing the stiffness of the spider as the cone moves more, improving low frequency response and control. Especially a 1508 which is so absurdly over motored that it doesnt have enough cone weight or area to load well in a open configuration. Same for the port.

But to be honest I have no idea WTF its technically related to. Just slightly different than a down-firing/wall-firing setup.

No joke. Below 30hz the 1508's are unloading and can cause SERIOUS HARM to the drivers and output is extremely diminished. (1/2 octave below tuning freq).
