unless of course you have a 5.1 headunit then by all means you need rear fill. Now if you can find some 5.1 audio dvd's. Personally I wouldn' use the JL amps. They might be excellent but I don't like the fixed output power at all. Far as I can tell they have no flexiblity for changing setups. I could be wrong and if I am please correct me.

I am upgrading my system... I have a crew cab... would it be good to replace the rear speakers as well, or just the front??? I dont know if yall have crew cabs or not...

I just have a supercab. I'm just going to upgrade the fronts. My system now is 100% stock and I tried fading to just the front and I felt the only thing missing was the lows. So I figure with just a really nice set of components and JL Stealthbox it will sound perfect.

If you're going to be building a system and already spending a nice chunk of change then why not? You've got a pretty big cab and that's a lot of space to fill with just speakers in the front.

I'm glad I ended up doing the back in my truck. Sucks paying the extra money up front but it's a lot cheaper to do it with everything than to go back and do it later.
