easy question

First let me say I do not want to remove the factory 6 disk head unit.

Overall I like the sound volume and quality of the factory unit. But at the higher volumes could be a little nicer now my question is. will putting in better door speakers clean up the sound enuf to justify the cost? can the head unit drive a set of components and will they sound better?

Also can you add a sub with a built in amp with out changing anything else? If so anyone have any sugestions of a setup that looks and sounds good?

Thanks sorry for all the questions.

new speakers will make it sound better, especially components. but it wont be very efficient just off the head unit. you will really want to get an amp
what do you mean by "without changing anything else"?
run a line out converter from the HU, power wire from the battery and put in the sub/amp
Alpine has a little powered system.
i've never really heard any of them tho
