I have alpine type R components in the front of my Ranger powered by a 300 watt MTX amp, they sound awesome. I just put Infinity Perfect 2 ohm components up front in my 08 F-150 and with just the stock HU they sound awesome, just had to cut the tweeter hole bigger to fit them in. I got the Infinity's from Crutchfield for around 200, and the Alpines on Ebay for like 140.

Its cool, it happens. Especially when there are Reference, Kappas, and Kappa Perfects.

I picked up my ID components for ~200 shipped. Damn good deal for the sound you are getting.
