I swapped out my pioneer 12" shallow for a RF 12" shallow. The RF is a much better speaker. It is not perfect, but the SQ is there, so my vote would be the Rockford Fosgate version. I would assume the 10" works as well as the 12".

New shallow sub

I got my local car audio shop to swap out the pioneer for a rockford fosgate. The RF is definitely a better speaker AND I got in a dual 4ohm version, so I am now able to run my amplifier at a 2ohm load, so it was all good. They didnt' even have to modify the box. The RF is about .5 inches deeper, but well worth it!

So I don't need a shallow 10" sub for a Supercrew 10" Sub Box?

Is anyone using one of these Boxes? They advertise the 10" and 12" boxes with the same mounting depth and airspace. Is this possible? I would much rather run 12"s as long as I don't have to run a shallow mount, and jacking the rear seat up. I appreciate all the help fellows.

I would go with the new memphis S class subs. on a 10 inch 4dvc, you get 300 watts rms and 600 peak. they are about 3 inches deep and hit harder ad sound clearer than any sub i have ever heard. I got one it my truck and t shakes it. I have it powered by a memphis pr1=500 and got the 10 4ohm dvc set up for 2 ohms and it is recieving full power and I had to turn it down a little. I got my box off of ebay from a guy in tennesse that builds them himself, i think it's rodney's custom boxes; he builds the ones and puts alot of them on ebay with speaker and ams and such but you can get it with no sub or amp and the color to match your interior and it was only $100, great deal and no modification required.

Those S class subs look nice. So are you running 1 or more? Pleased with the bass?

I wouldnt take jaybrock's word on much here. He claims Memphis's chitty subs sound better and "hit harder" than their higher end ones. Which is just retarded.

I have a pair of AudioBahn AWC10T subs that sounded really good and I got them for a pretty cheap price from a store. I don't know if you are still looking or not but I thoguht that I'd pass it along. They had a pretty short mounting depth.

x2. Would like to know if anyone here is running these boxes and how they are working out. This is a great price compared to other prefabricated ones I've seen...
