thats true, i think he was referring to him showin me up lol, well i must admit he knows his stuff.... i am only 17 but dont you worry i can hold my own... heres a scenario, some kid i know got his system jacked, he had 4 12" premiers sealed and wanted the exact same set up, my recommendation was get 2 12's of higher quality and make a custom ported box(i recommended l7's or l5's) see i know a thing or two low_e_red

why make it out of fiberglass, that probably one of the worst materials to use. now am i saying dont use it......no im in fact making one for my truck but he is going for a better sound by changing the box material. fiberglass it is very hard to calculate the airspace before building it. now if he made one to replicate his current box it would not be strong at all fiberglass is only strong when curved

yes i know that it is harder to calculate air space, i also understand that fiberglass is only strong when its curved, just thought i would throw that suggestion out there

i had a similar problem with my box making weird noises when bass would hit ended up being my box was leaking air out like crazy. so i just re sealed it inside and out with new silicone and added a layer of resin and to tell you the truth my subs play alot better and hit harder than when i first got the box. just my experience with boxes good luck!!

Build out of MDF. Then take Pint - 1/2 gal of resin (size dependent) and roll around inside box on all edges. That will make a big difference.
