No sound comes out of your sub now that the radio is in? Is that normal?

you would need the integration harness...

the smaller plug has the signal wires and the amp turn on wires... the harness has rca's that would plug into the sub out on your hu and the you would hook up amp turn on wires... only issue you might run into is the 6v amp turn on which im pretty sure you'll have... when you turn the car on, the sub will pop, to get rid of this you need 2 resistors that are around 1500 ohms. im pretty sure you can find a diagram of how to hook them up if you google it, if i try to explain i will probably only confuse you.

Its a 5v...

1. Take the two resistors, make a Y

2. Hook the common side of the Y to the Rem wire

3. Hook one of the sides to ground

4. The other one is your 5v remote wire to the factory amp.

How can I do this to my truck if the truck did not originally have the factory sub and audiophile H/U in it. I have a sub from another Ford and an aftermarket Head unit. I have been trying to work with the Ford people at a nearby dealership that has a pro shop for cutomizing the trucks but they are also trying to figure out t do this. I have the hrness you referenced above but I need the actual wiring that connects the sub to the head unt that would normally be art of the wiring harnees for the truck...Unfortunatly Ford does not sell this harness by itself you have to by the complete truck wiring harness for about $450.00 just to get the wiring you need out of it.....
