I just bought a new head unit about 2 months ago, it is a sony 52w, with the i pod interface, it has worked flawlessly and recently only on certain songs, I started hearing like a rattle sound or static sound. It seemed to be mainly on like country songs. So today I went and bought 4 polk speakers and installed them and guess what the rattle sound is still there. What should I do?? Thanks.

 

Stop listening to country songs. "A rattle sound or static sound" are two different sounds. I'm guessing it could be a bad ground somewhere.

 

Well I went and tried my cousins ipod in my truck and it was my ipod so it tried resetting it and it works perfectly for now. Thanks for the help though.
