What are ohms?
As childish as it may have sounded. It was more intended to drive a point home.
Was anything not correct? NO.
But was it hard to understand? Yes. Help us help you. Let us fill you in on what you arent catching on to, not spoonfeed me. Thats CA.com, ROE.com, SSA's and sounddomain that spoonfeeds, not here.
Had the OPost been, "Im a bit lost, I dont understand how voltage relates to resistance." The flame war wouldnt be on. But instead he said I dont care about learning just tell me.... to quote fantastic four "FLAME ON!"
THANK YOU!
Thats why Im here. I have been in the industry for 1/3 of my life, the rest I was a bit too young. I have had the time to learn. Want to go car for car?

I have more posts than its worth, trying to help grow people. Just ask styx I taught him what he knows... ( J/K

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people around here, be it here in the audio forums, or the care and detailing forums, where ever. Even better, most of them are willing to pass that knowledge on to others.
That said, I've seen people give out information that is plain wrong. They didn't give it with the intention of causing harm, they were just misinformed. I suppose there are probably people out there who would take pleasure in screwing people over and might give bad advice on purpose.
People need to take personal responsibility to educate themselves so they can solve their own problems. Nobody likes being called ignorant, yet many people choose to remain ignorant instead of trying to learn and grow.

i am agreeing with you again, people are people and its human nature to make mistakes. be it ill informed or just forgetful. i still respect the few on here that do actually know something, but i'll just stick to the more drawn out questions i have for actual reputable people that been in the car audio scene for a majority of their life.

ya upcoming underground stuff.... like RE.... we all know what happened to them
as a matter of fact they are, re's owner scott fleming i believe, and co-owner nick morgan are the owners and creators of fi car audio. what other brand of subwoofers have been dominating dbdrags and bass races lately? and more and more people are buying fi, cause it is a million times better then the mainstream crap such as kicker, jl, pioneer, rockford and many others. so i dont see why you are saying that in such a sarcastic manner.
I signed up at SSA about 5-6 months ago. Checked it out for a few weeks and got sick of it. Too many people that want stuff spoonfed.
DIYMA, 12vInsider (must be deep in the industry. They check backgrounds...) and here is where I stay.

have you even heard a fi woofer at all? in a proper enclosure. not some prefab.
and i can see why you choose those as you appear to be a sq guy instead of "basshead" as they put it.
nothing wrong with that at all.

Yeah i actually helped my friend build an enclosure for his Fi woofer, i think it was the SSD model. It was an OK sounding driver, better sounding than most kicker, alpine or RF ones i've heard but nothing close to the IDQs or EDs i've heard.
I've never understood the "basshead" people. Like your setup for example, all you hear is port noise and air movement. Yeah, you can shake the car next to you blasting some silly bass test tones or some goofy rap song chopped just for bass, but doesn't that chit get old after a while? (not knocking you, just curious)

nah, i had the ssd sub before the btl, loved it, loud and very musical. btl is just that too, im surprise with the sq it has, sure its nothing compared to the idq's but its still better then the mainstream subs. i dont listen to all rap or techno music, i listen to about everything, even classical from time to time. i dont have bass blasting like the kid down the road all the time, it does get old yes, but for the most part i enjoy my setup, wouldnt have bought it and put the time in effort to get to how it is now if i didnt want it. isn't it about how you feel about your stuff then hearing someone else bash on it? im happy with what i have for now and dont really care if anyone else isnt.
This thread is stupid.
It seems like more and more threads on here are getting this way anymore. Its impossible to talk about anything technical on this board it seems like because someone else will just come along and try at tell you whats wrong, how they think its done, etc etc. I wont even talk about technical/in depth crap on here because of people who think they are going to teach me about something. I dont have time to sit behind a computer screen and argue about stupid crap. Ill stick to talking about products so I dont have to deal with any more ish than I half too. But still then half the time its "Oh brand X is way better than Brand Z, have you ever even seen a Model B by Brand X?" blah blah blah.
And all the 'underground' stuff being able to own anything mainstream? Come on....yeah there is some nice stuff, and it cost a lot less than something with a well known name, but saying that underground stuff is miles and miles and so much better than some other brand just because its mainstream just shows how ignorant someone is, how 'cool' they think they are because they own something no one else has heard of, and how they will believe anything a couple wanna be's say on a car audio forum.
Yes, there are some underground things out there that WILL put a hurt on some mainstream stuff. BUT, just because its underground doesnt mean it WILL own the mainstream stuff.
I could probably take an Xplod CD player, rebadge it with my own special name, hype it up on random car audio forums, and have every little bish and their mom buying one to replace their Eclipse/Alpine/Pioneer just because its mysterious and underground.
'Underground' products will never take over mainstream either. There is a reason that mainstream is mainstream, and the underground stuff is underground. If some underground company ended up becoming so popular and mainstream like then everyone would hate them for being mainstream and talk about how the next audio boner is so much better than 'that company that used to be underground and is now mainstream" Thats how it works.
rant is over....for now anyway.

Why do you think Tim, Don, Bryan and the others left. This part of the site is falling down in comparison to the olden days. I miss the Random post all threads we had.
Again agreed, KKR will always be chosen over Fi, in 98% of peoples car. Why because of the name. Fi may ruin someone at the lines but how many kids really follow that stuff. Hell I had someone at work trying to get me to believe he hit 172 with 4 15 L7's underpowered and in a ported box under his back seat in a 98 Silverado. Can you say BS... People dont watch the lines let alone know what the numbers mean. If they did, Id believe they understood that some mainstream is well worthless.
