Box Covering

So Im bored off my ****. I finally started doing some sanding and router work on my box today, but it got dark and my shop lights suck.

So now Im trying to decide what to cover the box with. For the past three weeks Ive had a blanket thrown over it to make it less noticable.

Gimme some ideas. Its gotta be black, thats it.

Carpet is just to common and boring.

I was thinking of some type of bedliner stuff. Most of the DIY stuff is either soft and gets crappy lookin (like the Duplicolor stuff), or else its really rough stuff (like Herculiner) thats impossible to clean. Anyone have any suggestions on something that will get hard and not peel off with a fingernail, but is somewhat smooth so its easy to wipe down and clean?

Just throw out some random ideas. Im just looking for anything and made this post because Im bored off my ****.

most recently, i covered a box first with some thin foam then a layer of pleather type stuff. folded the edges and used these chrome, hemispherical tack things around the edges to nail it down. looks pretty good and it has a soft texture...kinda unique
