Newb needs help

Hey guys,

So far in my truck I've added Infinity door speakers and an Alpine 9885 head unit. As far as sounding good, its there... it just lacks the bass I'd like.

I've been looking around for some sort of sub I could add under the rear seat in my 2005 supercab.

What would be the more cost-friendly setup to put under the seat? I'm not looking for a ground-breaking system.. just a little more bass. Crutchfield has an enclosure by I think MTX that look nice and seem like an easy install since everything you need is packaged together... but its a little bit pricey.

How would finding a stock f-150 Audiophile woofer work? Are the compatible with aftermarket head units?

Audiophile woofer is weaksauce.

Get a box from supercrewsound.com and put a 10" Image Dynamics IDv3 or IDQv2. You'll need to get a small amp too.

Damnit msall, do you follow me around to provide help?! lol... Just kidding buddy, but your probably my most trustworthy helper.

I'm not looking to be the guy in traffic with enough bass to shake 5 cars away... I just want SOME bass.

I'm also considering ease of installation. I'm decent with wiring... but I'd like this to be as easy as possible.. but you make the OEM Audiophile system sound like its not even worth it to look at.

What about the Bazooka tubes, or a Blaupunkt setup? Both have on-board amps and the reviews seem to be the level of bass I'm looking for.

A single 10" woofer is not going to blow your socks off, but you'll know its there.

Bazooka tubes and the stock woofer...ive heard 6.5"s that are louder. Id invest in at least a single 10 under the seat. Although ive never heard of the blow-punk setup you mention.

Those image dynamics subs i recommended are known for having excellent sound quality, but dont get super loud.
