opinions on shallow mount subs

I am looking to get a pair of ten inch shallow mounts.
These are for a project with very limited space and just wanted to get
a few opinions from those of you in the know on the audio side of things.

I am not a huge bass head, but i dont mind the occasional low end bump.
I also do not have the ears for super sweet sq setups, i wasnt gifted with the greatest ears and i hate to say it but i have heard crappy setups and nicer show car setups and i can pick up on the quality setups simply because they are more powerful. The low ends usually sound the same to me. Keeping in mind that my ears are worthless, I just want something to add a little low end to my music without spending a ridiculous amount on components that i wont be able to appreciate.

Im planning an install i havent seen before, and the only limitation is the size of the space i have to work with. I will be builing my own box for the space and sub specs, probably a sealed enclosure. No underseat boxes as i use that area way too much. I would like to do an underseat and save me the trouble but i cant afford to give it up.

I am trying to find the shallowest somewhat half-assed sub around.
So far i have the following choices, lemme hear some feedback.

Kenwoods KFC-XW1000F 3 3/8 mounting depth, 250 rms 1000 peak .6 ft^3 vol
Pioneers TS-sw1041d 2 7/8 depth 250 rms 1000 peak .2-.7 ft^3 vol.

Rockfords P3sd210 3 1/2 depth 600rms 800 peak .4-1 ft^3 vol

EDIT
Clarion Clarion SFW1051 3 depth 300rms 600 peak .5 ft^3

Im kinda liking the kenwood but the pioneers depth is favorable and i know a few of you run the P3s.

lemme hear your thoughts.

under the seat probaly thats usually the reason for a shallow mount, or behind the seat

P3 ftw!!

Put two of them in a silverado the other day...each one powered by an alpine 850. Sounded awesome.

I have AudioBahn AWC10T subs that were really nice and they fit in a shallow mount under the seat box for me in the past.

you can get any sub to sound good! as long as you give it the correct amount of power and properly tune it and also have the correct air space in the box itll sound really good.

ive heard many great subs sound like poo or blow b/c one of those three things were not correct.
ive also heard poopoo subs sound encredible b/c all three of those were done correctly

so dont be afraid to follow those instructions they give you
