07 F150 FX4 Audiophile sub BLOWED UP

hey guys, just wondering if anyone has blown their oem audiophile little 8 inch sub under the back seat. I cant tell if the cone is tore, or what, it just sounds like krap, and has a blown sound.

also what are my options, can i drop another 8 inch in there, or do i need to get a whole new after market.

and im still under 36000 miles, would the manufacture warrenty cover this??

thanks for comments and suggestions in advanced....

if you are still under base warranty it should be covered just tell them it doesn't sound right, try not use words like blown up, and you still have warranty they should replace it. but if you have no warranty then you could replace the sub yourself i beleive the 2ohm+2ohm 50w+50w DVC but the box is shallow so you will have to find a aftermarket sub that isn't too deep and will run off the 100w factory amp.

but if you have to replace it i would look at putting in something better, JL makes a great stealth box with a 10" sub that fits in the factory spot, with the right amp it would sound great but its a little pricey.

there all kinds of configurations you could go, i found google is your best bet.

thanks

Unfortunately money is not a problem, its deciding on the right stuff, and installing it.

Thank you for your response, i like that, and i think i will go ahead and buy that JL setup! I need black though? For my all black/leather interior!!

I’m going to get one of those new Pioneer decks, and then will replace the back.

thanks again Deano-FX4
