Why a BTL You'll need a monster amp to make it sound like Poo
Although I have only heard the BL and Ssd models
Fi = SPL, pretty much all of Fi's speakers are more SPL and less SQ oriented.

The BTL handles over 8000 RMS. The guys at ROE did a challenge and the BTL took every watt of power the amps could muster.

They say to give it at least 2000 RMS.

Look at the Fi Q. Supposed to be a decent SQ woofer and with 27mm of XMax, its going to get loud too. Your amp would match that a lot better i think.

If you put 1200 watts on a BTL it will probably jump out of the box and bi*ch slap you....
NOT worth it. The BTL is a ***** to the walls SPL sub...nothing else.

If your looking for something from Fi that is loud and will work off 1200 watts, look at the BL instead of the BTL.

What are you looking for in a woofer? Maybe you should decide that first before you just go start looking at things without really knowing what they are....

really what i am looking for is spl. basically as long as the sub hits cleanly without making any mechanical noise or anything. 2 12's or a 15 would be good. and im just trying to get away from the typical brands like JL, Alpine and all the other stuff that everyone has in their car

whoah, ok, my bad. it was the Q that i was looking at, im not sure how i mixed that up
so 1200 watts to an 18" Fi Q......loud yes?

Do they make the Q in 18"? If so, sure go for it. Your gonna need a big MF box.

haha, yeah i have a ssd and its plenty loud and still sounds good even ported.
Check out www.soundsolutionsaudio.com
for all your questions and concerns about fi's/ascendant audio's products
I've only heard the ssd and 2 15" bl's and yes they make 18" q's and are plenty ridiculously loud from what i've heard. Go youtube fi's and see for yourself, even though camera's could never do justice for whats really happening in person.
ssd's are fi's above the entry level woofers as they say, the q's are their sq subs, bl's are a step above the q's and are more spl, and the btl's are just plain insane spl beasts, dont get me wrong, people say btl's still sound good and are insanely loud.
Also, if you're going to be running 2k rms, you better be sure you have the electrical to back it up, cant really just throw a amp in your vehicle and a capacitor and say you're ready to go when you have a stock alt and battery, need to invest in a h/o alt and multiple h/c batts as well.

An 18" Q better be loud. And with the rep they have they should still sound pretty good.

I have yet to hear a Q for myself, but I entertianed the idea of a single 18" Q in my truck for a short time....till I saw the 4 cubes+ sealed. But I thought about it just because of the rep they have.

Dont take my word for any of it if though, like I said, I have NEVER heard a Q in my life....
