Any Ideas?

Alright, this isn't about subs or speakers... But the pocket underneath the cigarette lighter that opens and closes broke today, it wont shut... So i was trying to think of something to put there, all i could think of was putting a pocket... maybe one from just a multi-kit or going to a junk yard and finding a replacement. Can you guys think of anything else to put in its place?

5. equlizer board
6. smoked plexiglass with "F150" on it and LED's behind it so it looks cool

Sorry, I had to...

A din sized Center channel might work pretty good... Good question.

Move radio down to bottom and put a large screen... I dont have any worthwhile ideas.

haha, yeah i was waiting for someone to say it... My old boss would always tell me that when i had questions just so he could watch me get frustrated, it was sooo annoying then, funny to think about now...

Yeah, I'm liking the idea of the f-150 sign or whatever, one of the installers i work with has a laser something that you can etch into anything with so some ideas are coming around....

What about this compared to the f-150 thing. Fix the pocket/replace it andsince I have an iPhone, i could cut the bottom of the pocket out to allow for the iphone dock to go far enough down so the iphone would slide onto it and i could still close my pocket... I have a bluetooth HU and ipod on the iphone so icould close the pocket and be done... Im not sure... crap.

Sorry if this didn't make much sense, i had a loooong day installing a flat panel tv, with ps2, and a deck with 4 speakers in a conversion van today, it was pimp but a nightmare, one of those cars where nothing goes as planed.

so like the little door would close and all you would see would be the top edge of the phone...?
that would be cool

If the pocket was closed you wouldn't see the phone at all, it would just look normal, just that when you open it, the pocket would be deeper and an iPhone could stand up in it mounted on the docking station. Does that make more sense?

Haha, well soundwise, i have 2 old pairs of mb quart 6 x 8's(dke-168, i believe), which sound great... not the best but they were free... For subs i have 2 JL 10w3v3's under my backseat, and a concept 525m powering them... its a marine amp, but sounds very good and has lasted a long time with no trouble. My Headunit is a pioneer deh-p7000bt, and i have no 4 channel amp as of now... blah.

Check out what i did yesterday while i was bored. it will be in my gallery under installs.

Hmmmm... That would be cool, im trying to think of a way to do that. I'll have to draw some stuff up and see if i can fit that because the door would have to be fatter.

So i guess there is a new gallery thing, did not know that. but i will post up a picture in this thread of what i did yesterday.

Alright, i thought about the idea of both the f150 logo and the door, after getting into a little i decided that i just want to do away with the door thing completely(plus modifying the existing pocket would be a b****. That f-150 logo is just stuck in my head, im going to be getting some samples soon from a guy i know for some etching... so thank you c. whammy for the pimp a** idea!!! another good addition would have been a bubble machine though.. thought about that one.
