I have a 06 super crew cab and i removed the center console today and am going to start building a down firing sub box that will stretch from the dash to the beginning of the back seat. I was hoping to put 2 Pyle 15 inch subs in there, this combo right here.

I am making the box out of 3/4 inch mdf.
Amp will be fabbed into the top of box twords the reat then im going to have some kind of small console in the front. Should i remove the carpet that is under the box?

 

if you're gonna put the effort into building you're own box, put in some higher quality subs. pyle's not so much up there on the list
but i've always liked the center console idea, i was working on building one for my 2000, but then i got a new car so i said screw it

 

yea, i understand doin things on a budget jus as much as the next guy. but pyle....if ur gonna go thru all the trouble get some better subs jus my .02 . im no audio expert, but if ur on a strict budget i would go with lanzar; deff not the highest quality but they sound decent. (somebody out there is gonna disagree, but o well). but its ur truck so who cares wat others think right? go for it

Bro, please spare your truck, especially since you are going through the trouble of building a center console...

 

the thing about buying cheap car audio stuff is that in a few months you will be buying the expensive car audio stuff you should have bought in the beginning


im building a console too but mine is a bit different then yours......
