Most outrageous stereo system..... !!!

...that I've ever heard of....

But first, are we allowed to link to other forums here ?

If so, I'll post a link with my next post... If not, I'll just give you main details here, and you can do a search, for a link to the thread, and all the photos, and full details.

Anyway, I just found a VERY long, detailed thread, about some guys who are building the most extreme car stereo I've ever heard of, in a Cadilac Escalade;

Two, Rockford Fosgate 15,000 wt amps ! ($20K each !)

8 - 18" subs (most of the vehicle is a speaker box)

I don't know how many speakers from 10" on down to tweeters, but I'd geuss like 40 ?

Two 300amp alternators

Four large batteries (just for the stereo... one for the SUV of course :-)

Probably about 100 lbs of copper wiring... uh... forget wire... CABLE ! :-)

People are taking guesses at the total cost, and some believe it's $100K in product, and another $100K in labor. I don't know if they guy has some fat sponsorships, or just has money coming out his ears !
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anyway, the owner lives in Nor Cal (so do I) and I'm going to try to find out when he is going to finish (should be getting close), and start showing this monster, so I can go see it, in person.
Like I said, somebody please let me know if I can link to that thread....
Peace,
Fish
I saw somewhere where someone hooked up 34 subwoofers in a big rig trailer, something like 50k watts or so.
Probably sounded like chit.
Okay....
But let me warn you, this thread is HUGE ! 50 pages long, with hundreds of photos. It took me about 2 hours to skim through it, mostly only reading posts by the builder himself, and checking out all the photos....
Outrageous !
Some simple math says that 600 amps = not enough power. At most they will have about 7500 watts of power from those alternators... heh
