Amping Audiophile Speakers
I feel like an idiot even asking this, but is there any way to put an amp on the factory Audiophile speakers, without cutting factory speaker wires? I have a stock Audiophile H/U, 3Sixty.1 (will be here next week), and the factory Audiophile door speakers. As far as an amp, I'm really just looking at something that does 40w / channel @ 4 ohm, because I don't know how much the stock speakers can take.
The issue I'm seeing is the factory crossover for the front speakers. From the H/U, the speaker wires go to a connector which then plugs into the crossover in each door. From what I can tell, because of the factory H/U, I'd have to either:
A) Cut the speaker wires behind the H/U, run them to the hi-level inputs on the 360.1, which would go to the amp, which would then go to the speakers where I'd have to use an inline connector to catch the speaker wire before the crossover
or
B) Unplug the connector that plugs into the crossover and bi-amp the front speakers.
I don't like solution A because it involves cutting the factory wires, and I don't know if the factory speakers can take 40w let alone 80w bi-amped.
Does anyone out there have a "C" solution? (Other than scrap the factory H/U and/or front speakers) <= On a side note, they will be replaced eventually - just not right now (unless someone can recommend some really inexpensive quality components)

Have you taken out the stock speakers and looked at them yet?

Actually I had taken them out about 30 minutes before I posted. I couldnt find any power rating any where on them. Only resistance and Ford part numbers, which I have yet to lookup.
I just removed all my audiophile hardware and installed new amps, speakers, sub and H/U. I'd do that rather than try and piece something together using stock equipment.

Yeah, I've already swapped out the sub, and was thinking of gutting it all out, but after seeing how easy it is to break into an F-150, I'm a little nervous about putting in an aftermarket H/U.
I bought the 3Sixty.1 on a recommendation from Low_E_Red. He said I should be able to get aftermarket sound from the stock H/U by using it. For right now, I'm trying to make my install as low key as possible to deter thieves.
I figured that would pretty much be my only answer (cutting the wires), but wanted to know if someone knew any other way to do it, or where I could maybe get an adapter that would plug into the factory crossover from an amp.
Kinda like this, but in reverse - http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...ter&i=12071048

Alright there is a way to do this. First go to CCity and pick up the Metra BT-5520 it is the harness and reverse harness for this truck. It will make it a breeze to install the 3Sixty.1. If thats not possible I think the site is installer.com go there and find the harness and reverse harness. Plus, they have the reverse harness for your sub out. Then you wont have cut any wires and it will be installed much easier.
Oh and make sure you have abt 60 ft of spk wire and 3 set of 15-17 ft RCA's.

Actually, you know what. I already have both those harnesses from when I was going to put my subs in, before I realized it was already a low-level out. I was going to do just what you're talking about, actually. I'll have to see if I still have those things sitting around.
