For 2004 - 2008 (I presume, mine is a '05 )

Tools needed: Ratchet & Extension, sockets: 5.5 mm, 6 mm, 7mm, 8mm, 10mm, 1/4", and 7/32" (I didn't use all of these and some of my screws were different than what is suggested) Panel Removal Tool

Front Door

1: Pry out edges of speaker grille to release clips and remove.
2: Remove four (4) 7/32" screws securing speaker. Pull out speaker, disconnect and remove.
3: Install new speaker by reversing the steps above. Remember to test operation prior to reinstalling grille.

Rear Door - Standard Cab

1: Remove one (1) 1/4" screw from bottom of door panel
2: Pry around all edges of door panel to release clips. Remove panel.
3: Remove four (4) 1/4" screws securing speaker. Pull out speaker, disconnect, and remove.
4: Install new speaker by reversing the steps above. Remember to test operation prior to reinstalling door panel.

Rear Door - Super Cab

1: Pry out narrow window trim on rear side door. Remove one (1) exposed 6mm screw.
2: Pry out wide window trim to release four (4) retaining clips and remove. Remove one (1) exposed 6mm screw.
3: Pry out screw cover on door release handle. Remove two (2) 6mm screws and remove handle.
4: Remove one (1) 6 mm screw from bottom of door panel.
5: Pry up power switch panel and disconnect to remove. Remove one 10mm screw exposed by removal of switch.
6: Lift door panel to remove.
7: Remove four (4) 7/32" screws securing speaker. Pull out speaker, disconnect, and remove.
8: Install new speaker by reversing the steps above. Remember to test operation prior to reinstalling door panel.

Rear Door - Super Crew

1: Pry off window trim to remove.
2: Remove one (1) 1/4" screw in top portion of door panel
3: Pry up power operations switch panel, disconnect wiring harness and remove. Remove one (1) exposed 10mm screw.
4: Remove two (2) 1/4" screws from bottom edge of door panel.
5: Pry out screw cover behind door release handle. Remove two (2) exposed 8mm screws.
6: Lift door panel, disconnect door release cable and remove panel.
7: Remove four (4) 5.5mm screws securing speaker. Pull out speaker, disconnect, and remove.
8: Install new speaker by reversing the steps above. Remember to test operation prior to reinstalling door panel.

SAFETY CHECK: Check that wires do not interfere with window operation. Test window and door lock operation (all doors).

this is perfect thanks!

i just went down to try and do the rear panels, figured they would be the easy. ran into something i wasn't sure of.. in the upper right hand corner of the window (door open) it looks like there is a bracket with a 1/4" nut and its bolted down. i cant tell if the bracket is attached to the door panel or not. it looks like it is.

on the front doors i want to add some dynamat to it. or is that really worth it on the front speakers. thought it couldn't hurt.

hell if there is anyone in the austin area that has done this before and wouldnt mind lending a hand lemme know. i just dont want to pay $60 bucks per set for something that is honestly not all that difficult.
