down firing boxes are louder and sound better
i like having my sub right behind my seat cause it shakes the hell outta me
but just moving the box isnt going to change much. if you want it louder, get a bigger sub

You can fit some pretty nice stuff UNDER the seat.....dont rule that out quite yet. There are guys on here that have fit stuff under the seat that will make you pop a kid out.

What do you mean by "boomy bass like in a car"????? You think a truck cab has less bass then a car with a trunk, assuming the same setup?

EDIT: I ripped the seat out of my old 99 to fit a/some sub/s in it, but if I would have had the room in that thing that you guys do in the new screws/scab then hell no, I would have left the seat in. It took ripping out the back seat to squeeze a 2 cube ported box tuned to 30 hz in.....you guys can damn near fit that with some careful planning.

well my cousin had 2 12's in hit truck and it hits hard.. but its not the bass like when your driving down a street and you here a loud car and everyone looks, most people i have talked told me that this is unachievable in a truck so i figured id just set it up as if it was in a car and use a regular size box. would'nt this produce what i want?

Regular size box???? It all depends on the subwoofer you want to use that determines box size. You can fit a decent sized box in your truck.

A 2 cubic foot box in your truck is going to be the same as a 2 cubic foot box in a car.

By hearing it 3 blocks down the street and everyone looks, do you mean buzzes and rattles from the spoiler, liscense plate, and deck lid???? Please dont do that...no one wants to hear it.

Ive cranked my ish up in my driveway with everything closed up just to see how high I could crank it before someone on the sidewalk could hear it, just so I know to never turn it up that high. My setup isnt even that loud but I can still crank it up and have it be heard from down the road if I wanted to be a douche like that.
Granted your not going to get a 150db setup under the seat, but I think you would be suprised what you can accomplish with good stuff, without ripping half the truck apart.

Subwoofer Replacement

Is there any plug and play Subwoofers out on the market. I want to keep the stock look of the interior and there has gotta be a bigger sub that will fit underneath the back left seat any ideas anyone?
