why down fire? sub box

why down fire? sub box

most sub boxes im finding are down fire, why is that? i would have thought up fire would be louder

downfire makes the sound resonate a little better. they also protect the sub if you're worried about busting the cone

Up-fire goes into your seat, your seat absorbs the sound. Down-fire echoes off the hard floor!
