I have the kenwood excelon KFC-XW1000F and it sounds very clean. I bought it from a good buddy who owns a stereo shop and he said, even though it doesn't take alot of power ~ 250rms, it is one of the best sounding shallow subs made. check em out, you won't be disappointed. I also got it at cost though.... they are 180 at crutchfield

Lighting Audio "Bolt" 10" from Wal-Mart.

$30 handles everything I throw at it... about 500 watts peak.

Shallowness? About 6 inches IIRC...

A Rockford product... equal bang, less bucks.

It's now my "small box" on trips when the 15" has to come out of the Expy.

x2 for the P3SD210. I run it at 300w RMS and it does pretty well. I'm only running one. It's not earth shaking but fills in the low end great. For a single shallow mount 10" I was relatively impressed.
