lol seriously?

... put them in the doors. when you pull off the speaker cover on the door, the top half has a small hole for what could have been factory separates. make the hole bigger and put your tweeters there. definitely NOT a good idea to separate the mids and highs that much.

Personally, I would rather it look kinda factory and sound badass than be able to see it. only people I want to know its there are people riding in my truck. (but then again, I live in LA and theft is common here)

I agree, I just bought two JL Audio tweeters today and install them in the door panel where they are suppose to go and they work great.

Yeah, I would either go with the stock location or the sails. Sometimes the stock tweeter location isnt open enough, just get a dremel and grind a little more plastic away. No biggie.

Good luck,

Its been a wile sense i have seen a bored with such *******s

but to your question, i have seen some cars with the tweeters mounted in the air vents and it did not sound too bad. No your not supposed to mount them there, but your also not supposed to pick a car for a great SQ set up. the inside of a car is the WORST place for a good sound set up. I say. set them there and see if you like the sound. if YOU like the sound(sense it is your car and not anyone else in this thread has to listen to it) then keep it that way. i personally don't think it will sound to good though. but give it a shot. I want to try mounting some above the side window vent on the door panels to see how that would sound

I still need to clean it up a bit,but simple and removable and no Holesand is certainly better sounding/staging than the doorwhich are terrible for any kind of real SQ. It's just industrial Velcro and plastic pipe just pull back the door weatherstripping to get a wire up there. I've bought some new tweeters and I'm planning the same sort of install now that I no it works.
