Well im the middle of building a sub box for my 06 SCC for under the rear seat, and I decided to get creative (my first mistake) and made a 12x16x7 box and i had it semiglued (like with it still malleable) and lifted the seat up and placed it under then closed the seat and sat on it. IT FITS! and it molded the wood to fit to just the right (not a 90 degree angle, no pun intended) angle. But then I remembered, the sub needs room to move up and down! Doh! Stupid me! What can I do? Are there any subs that are static on the outside and move on the inside? Can I do anything with that box, Because it is more work than you realize. I'm going to put a 10 inch in there and i have 6 inches of space inside not including the box walls, so I think I did pretty well, I dont have to stick with shallow mount. I used 1/2 inch MDF btw. Okay so what should I do?

best bet is to start over....

 

look this is what you should do go get a pre loaded box if your budget is $500 your have no problem theirs no way you can glue some sides together on a size to fit a area and drop in a sub and think its going to sound good to tell you the truth that box would fall apart on the first song any way its cool that you try-ed but I still think you better off to just get one that ready to go your be much happier with what you get out of it
