Will they fit?

Ok so i have a reg cab f150 im putting this box in my truck
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...2MT12-1.7.html

dimensions are 4.25"TD x 7.5"BD x 44"W x 15.5"H

Now i was wondering if i could fit alpine type r's, as of right now it looks like they cant fit but i would like to know, If not i might go with the type s because one of my friends have two 12 inch type s and they sound good. This will be going on for the summer when i get to work full time and rake in the $.

Get a ruler. Draw it to scale on a piece of paper. Go to the alpine site and get the measurements of the speaker and see if it will clear. Make sure you check the suggested box volume.

There's a bunch of shallow mount subs that have hit the market in the last 12 months including units made by JL, Kicker, Kenwood, etc. If in doubt, get one of those. Hate to be less then helpful, but that's about the only way to answer that question.

The type r 12 is not going to fit. If the type s subs are in your price range I would either go with 2 JL 12 W1s, Pioneer shallow 12s, or Rockford Fosgate shallow 12s and put them on a 2 ohm load and give them about 600-800 rms. That would sound good.

I like the box , buy it and work around the subs finding a box for a regular cab is hard .
I just purchased sothing made for a audi that holds 2 10s.
This is what I eneded up with 2 10s 1K amp 1F cap. bought the box at a local store its made for a audi , would prefure 12s
