Rear seat lift, 2 12s downfiring sealed, and amplified component speakers up front.

You will get many different opinions here. I would base it on your budget. How much are you willing to spend? will you be installing yourself or paying to have it installed?

Check this setup out... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/SYS_1.pdf

That's what I'm going for, except with a JL Stealthbox sub.

I don't quite get what you're asking about the crossovers...

The factory HU probably does not have enough power to push those speakers, so you'd need a 4 channel amp.

If you are going to spend the money on a good system, get a new HU. the stock one sucks.

the questions was can you install the crossovers with the factory HU?. would it make the sound quality much different,?, since the factory HU has a built in EQ..

im going for that same component setup in your link.. w the JL 300/4v2 amp with a JL clean sweap to my factory HU .. o and a Saleen oem RF intergrated sub wired in to the Clean Sweap also.

NSCU O5 FX4 what do you think?????

Yeah, I think the crossovers should run fine with the Clean Sweep.

Any reason you're sticking with the factory HU?

Although JL makes nice stuff, it is very overpriced. You can easily make a better system for the money.

I would shoot for some 6.5" components. Round ones tend to sound better and have more output.

Which is why I never pay full price! Same thing with the Polk Audio I have for my home theater set up.

Will 6.5" components fit without any modifications?

Some yes, some no.

I know some companies like Alpine include a 5x7 to 6.5 mounting plate for a complete plug and play install. For some companies/models, you have to trim a tiny bit of the plastic surrounding the speaker though, which is very easy and well worth it to get the 6.5" woofers in the doors.

Polk HT setup...
specs?

i just like the factory look.. and when someone gets in my truck and heres my system there gonna always bee wondering what i got ...hehee.. and they will never know..

im just Stuck on JLaudio.. ive had alpine, fostgate, memphis, eclipse, pioneer,, and some other brands... and to be honest IMO the only ones that sound up to par with the JL is the Eclipse..

so the 6.5 gives out better sound than the 5x7?? does it produce better low end frequencies??? Wondering if the JL c5 Evos or the ZR series 6.5 will fit???
