how do i wire a subwoofer to my truck?
I didnt either, so I took it to a pro and paid for them to do it. Might be your best option if your like me and don't know how to do it. I figured I spent too much $$$ on the equipment to mess it up installing it!
Follow the directions in the product manuals.
Quick and dirty assuming you have a factory head:
Go buy an amp wiring kit...then:
run a power cable off your battery to your amp.
run a ground cable from your amp to the frame/body
run remote wire to your ACC in your ignition or switched power lead on your stereo. You'll need a wiring diagram available here in the forums if you search hard enough.
Tap the leads from your rear speakers and run them into the high level input on your amp. Your amp should have a plug in adaptor to accept a high level input if so equipped.
Run speaker wire from your amp to your sub.
