Reg cab sub box?

hey,ive got a 2000 f150 reg cab and was wondering if anyone has subs behind their seat. Is it worth building my own box or paying for this one that will be a sure fit? http://www.supercrewsound.com/shop/detail/11/28.htm

yea i dont even have the subs or amp yet i want to get a box then go from there. I'm not sure on those boxes,a little to pricey for me so if i did go with one it would be that plain wooden one. And it might be paintable..not sure though.

buy the subs you want and get a custom box made for the subs specs, shouldnt be anymore than the mtx package, those seem too pricey for what they are

yup get your subs and get a custom box built for the specs just like the other guy said...will sound much better than that MTX boxes because its built specifically for those subs

go to some stereo places, and just look at some boxes and try some out. When you find one that fits good, measure and see if you can go any bigger, then if you wanna build a box, measure the box, or buy that one if you dont wanna build. then find all of the subs that fit the box cubic ft wise, choose the ones you like and then find an amp. that's what I did with my 05 f150 reg cab. It sounds great and looks better. you could make it sound better, but it wouldn't fit, that's what sucks about a reg cab, not much will fit and look good and sound good at the same time.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went to every car audio shop i could think of today and a few custom box builders. All of them sent me off and said they would call me with a quote later that evening..none called back except for one and they were saying it's gonna cost me about 400 for just a box to fit 2 10's...idk if i missed the time that things got so expensive but i think i'll build one myself. May take a few tries but its way better then spending that much i figure.

i have a fiberglass box for sale for 2 12's it is between 1.5-2 cuft i had alpine type r's in it so it will fit a fairly large sub it was in a 2000 reg cab f150 its sat for a few years and i need to get rid of it and i need the cash

$200 plus shipping a box like this would cost a LOT more, 200 barely covers the material put into it

PM me if interseted

you can get a kicker solo baric 10" with the box. It fits good, but you can cut a 1"X1" notch out of the top to make it fit under the lip on the trim.
