Speaker Problems

Hey everyone, newbie with a problem, go figure. Yesterday my passenger speakers quit working in my 97 F150. Things i've tried: Pulled out my receiver, (Alpine CDE9881), checked and re-spliced all of the truck speaker wires to the receiver’s. I checked the fuse on the receiver. Checked the speaker itself, (Kenwood aftermarket that's relatively new), the connection looked and felt secure. Checked the rear speaker, which was blown but it was an 11 year old factory, so i disconnected it. I also re-secured the speaker power wires that attach to the 600w amp i have. The left side speakers and the sub behind the seat are still working fine. Other notes, before it quit working completely the sound cut in and out when the truck would hit bumps, which made me think that its a loose connection some where other than the speaker or the receiver. Also if I fade the sound to the side that isn't working and turn up the volume you can hear clear music with your ear against the speaker, which makes it seem like it isn't getting power. Any guidance or things to look at or try would be great? Thanks for your help.

Try this. Run wire from the HU directly to the speaker... DO NOT RUN THE WIRES! Just leave them sit out freely. If that gets the spkr to work correctly than run new wire or trace your problem.

It sounds more like a nicked wire or connection problem... Just because the terminals feel secure doesnt mean they are...
