Whats needed to install 6.5" infinity
What will I need to install infinity 6.5" component speakers into my 2004 Lariat supercab. I plan to put them inti the front doors. Do I need any special adapters or anything to get them in. Also where do you guys recommend putting the passive cross over.
You will need to make an adapter plate, something like this...

You can use MDF, plywood, chunk of plastic, etc. I used 3/4" MDF, you can get away with a lot thinner, and smaller peice than that though.
Some places even sell a 5x7 to 6.5 adapter, or will include them when you buy the speakers (Crutchfield does this I believe).
Very easy to make. You will need to trim off some of the inside of door panel too.
Lots of people like to put their Xovers in the doors, but personally I think its a terrible place. Under the dash, in the kick panel, on the back wall, beside the amp, under the seat, in/under the center console, etc all work.

Its not hard to make them... Just cut a 6" hole (or what ever the dimension is inside of the screw holes)
