Don't know much about the HU you are talking about, nor the difference between 2- and 3-way speakers, but I do know that having the speakers and the HU match doesn't really matter. The only advantage (as far as I know, and someone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) is that you get to say "I have a ________ system" (where _______ obviously = the name brand).

Pretty much nailed it.

As far as HUs, you have your fanboys for each brand, but honestly, if its namebrand, its usually going to work for the majority of people out there.
Now ME, give me a Pioneer over a Kenwood anyday. Give me a Kenwood and Ill throw it out the window at 85MPH, stop, reverse, run the thing over, then put it back in drive and run it over again before I light it on fire and **** on it...but thats me

2 vs. 3 way...well Ill take a 3way with a couple of nice blondes any da.....oh yeah...speakers, right.

Most 3 way coaxials are a 2 way with some "super tweeter" or some bs added on to let you say "check out my 3 ways". Now some nicer coaxials actually make use of a woofer, smaller mid, and a tweeter all in one and know how to use it, but most just throw in a couple more tweeters and call in the next best thing besides 3 ways....the other kind of 3ways

Theres nothing wrong with 2 ways, and no big advantage to a 3 way. Best thing you can do is go out and listen to different speakers and find out what sounds best to YOU. If its 2 or 3 way, who cares, you like the way it sounds.
