the power wire touched the speaker output

the power wire touched the speaker output

i was just wondering if anyone would know whats wrong with the amp the power wire from the amp touched the speaker wire output and it blew all the fuses and everytime i replace the fuses on the amp they blow

i opened it up and see nothing burnt and it smells fine

Likely dead but you never know. Unhook all speaker outputs and see if it will run without blowing fuses. Then hook up one speaker at a time and see if you can isolate the problem..

ok well its the mr f250 series i think its the alpine amp that does 40rms@4ohmsx4 and they are 120 brand new with warranty online and i have somoene wanting to sell it for 135 with it blown or w/e is wrong with it

what do you think the amp is worth

also what is a alpine 9852 headunit used worth

Sounds like a dead short. Its done. YOU arent going to be able to fix it.

I know you already know it, but this is why you should never hook up any power wires to anything while they are hot. I always pull the fuse close to the battery until all connections are made. That fuse is the last thing to go back in. Good luck figuring out what is wrong with the amp though.
