the question is at what point does the cost negate the performance factor?

for me its when I can use 2-4 layers of a "cheaper" mat instead of one layer of dynamat extreme for about the same price or alot less

more mass = better

I saw the tests that were done on how good they bonded to the surface and at what temperature they would fail. Has there been any tests on their actual sound dampening strengths? If so, please list a link to it, I would be curious on how the other butyl based sound deadeners compare to dynamat extreme, being that Im on a budget and want to purchase alot...

Later guys,

OK back to the original question. Where are the best places to start with. I'm figuring the doors. Also will sound deadner stop the panel beside my head from buzzing. It's REALLY getting on my last nerve.

Well I have'nt started quite yet but. I'm going to do the doors, floor panels, headliner, and inside the dash and you can shurly put some on those buzzing panels.
