Looking to get a little bass cheaply and easily

Would this fit the bill? '04 SCab.

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...084256&catid=#

" * 200 Watts Class D subwoofer amplifier that provides all the horsepower needed to drive the 10" subwoofer/10" passive radiator combination.
* Can be mounted vertically or horizontally using its unique mounting system.
* Provides user-adjustable input sensitivity, crossover frequency and bass-boost, allowing BassLink’s performance to be optimized for any installation.
* Four low-level inputs provide non-fading bass. Four high-level inputs also provides non-fading bass and the ability to easily interface BassLink with most factory sound systems.
* Rigid-polymer chassis withstands the rigors of the road."

I'm just looking to add a little kick to my stock system. I know this is far from the best, but I am looking to do something cheap and easy since I am a complete audio n00b. I think I could modify it to be down-firing and mount it under my back seat, opinions?

If you are talking about the foot area behind one of the front seats...Then yes it will fit, though it would look ghetto

That's what I'm after!

In all seriousness though, I would be putting this in as a temporary thing until I can afford a full on system. Do these sound alright?

Sorry;
can't say Ive ever heard them! Try to find one used so you will not be so disappointed if you don't like it. See if there is a local installer who caries them and "test drive one"
