MA Audio Subs

Well I'm wanting to buld a custom inclosure(or have one built) in my 2002 Supercrew. I want something that sounds really good, but also looks good because I do 1-2 shows a month. I have been looking back in past threads for any info on MA Audio subs and have not come across any(maybe I did not go back far enough), but I was wanting some input from you all about the MA Audio HK120XC
12" 1200W Dual 4-Ohm Competition Subwoofer. I plan on running 2 12's. One the main resason I want to go with these is because the baskets are chrome and look great!!! I'm wanting to invert them. Is there a difference in sound when you invert them? I have a friend who has 4 of the MA Audio 12" K series(I think that is what they are called) in a F250 Superduty and they sound great. Any info about building a box would be appreciated as well, I looked in another thread and saw a few boxes(Styxnpix & jmt0645) that I liked that are built on top of the back seat( in the center), but I have never built one before, so I'm not sure how complicated it is....Thanks.....Btw, for power I have a Kicker KX2500.1

WOW! Not one response? Where are all the "Audio Experts" at???

At least maybe a response about "building a box" or "does sub sound different when inverted"???

patience... that the main thing you need when building a box, as for the inverted/normal i have no idea, but i can tell you that you can REALLY get better subs than that for your money.
granted i would love to have the glassed box, but my only cost $35.00 for a 4'x8' sheet of 1" MDF, 10 bucks for glue/screws/sealer and a week of my spare time. just remember to measure twice (maybe more LoL) cut once.

but i can tell you that you can REALLY get better subs than that for your money.

Any suggestions/brand?

I have 2 15" Kicker L7's, but not enough room for them. So I'm selling them and the custom box(Came out of any Expy).

whats your budget like? do you want overly loud, or loud but good SQ? many factors play into a good stereo, granted i'm no expert and don't claim to be.

Well, I already have a Kicker KX 2500.1 for the subs and KX850.4 for the components. Budget is up to $1,500. Like I said earlier, I show the truck, so I want it to look good, the box will be wrapped in black and grey leather to match my interior. I liked the chrome baskets on the MA, but if there is something out there that looks good inverted, than I'm open to suggestions

with that kind of budget the sky is the limit then, i lot of guys on here will agree on these, with enough power (which you have) they can be VERY loud and still sound GREAT.

you can probably find them cheaper on other sites, this was just a quick search.

from the pics, it looks very possible (easy in fact) for you to build a box to go in center.

image dynamics is one of the best Quality woofers i've seen or handle (granted there may be better, but not that i've seen or handle) that first question is a lil confusing, i'm guessing you mean money wise, ~$75 if you include the carpeting. about 55 without that included. all together it took roughly 10 2-3 hour days to build/seal/carpet/install. the hardest part is waiting on the glue to dry.
