ohm wiring

i have 2 12's they are dual 2 ohms
they are kicker l7
for now i am gonna hook them up to my xplod amp which is 500rms bridged at 4ohms so how can i wire it up to this amp to get that load

also down the road i plan on hooking them up to a 1500 kicker amp how would i wire that up for a 2ohm load

thanks

you will need to wire each sub as a 4 ohm load to get 2 ohms on a mono amp.
for a 2 channel amp you cant get a 4 ohm load with those 2 subs wired parallel and series will give you 8ohms. you will need to bridge with an 8 ohm load or run both channels with each sub wired for 4 ohms.

so to put it simple for a 2 channel wire like this

and for a mono wire like this

hope this helps

YOU HAVE THE WRONG AMP RIGHT NOW!!! I wouldnt even use that xplod amp on both L7's. Maybe one (I would still have heartache with that...) but your resistances and available power wont let you do much with those.

One L7 D2

VC1+ = To Left +
VC1- = To VC2+
VC2+ = To VC1-
VC2- = To Right -

i was wondering a few quetsions first will this box work

internal measurements are
24.5x29.5x15.5=6.5air space minus .20 for sub displacement and 1.04 for port displacment will leave 2.6 net

port size is port size 15.5w x 4.75 x 24.5

so it should work out thats tuned to 33hz by the way

also

what is a cheap amp to power these subs a one channel amp thats 2 ohm stable or a 2 channel amp all i have is a 1200 sony xplod so each sub would only get 200rms for now i want to get a 1500 kicker soon i dont have the cash right now so whats a good amp thats cheap around the 150 dollar range to power these subs

DO NOT run both of those subs off of the Xplod. The L7s do not do well on that little of power. Just wait until you can afford the 1500.1 Just shop around it can be had for around 300. Or you could get by with a Kicker 1000.1 they usually put out around 1200 rms. Those can be had for like $250ish.

No such thing. Save your cash for a quality amp.

And do go for those cheapo amps that claim 1500 RMS yet yield a pair of 30 AMP fuses...

hmm. $199 for a boss 2500 or, $1xxx + for a kicker or jl or...

You do the math, a Pawn shop is not the place to buy quality equipment.
