Help me Pick out System for 06 Mark LT

Ok Guys, I've spent every night for the last week or so reading the messages on here, and I'm still not sure what I want to do. I need some imput. I have an 06 Mark LT that I just bought, and I want to put a nice system in. I want some good quality sound, with nice hard bass. I dont know which way to go with the box. I've seen installs with the subs facing up and I think it looks really nice. I also found a used proform box for 10's really cheap in my neck of the woods.

Heres what I have so far
Avic D1
MTX 4002 Amp (hope to use on subs)
MTX 3002 Amo (hope to use on door speakers)

The stereo shop I have used and trusted for years is trying to talk me into Hertz door speakers. Anyone like them? Are they top quality?

What gets the best bass? Facing up? Down?

What rattles on these things? What will for sure need to be Dyno-matted?

Will I need a Cap?

I got those Amps really cheap. Will the be any good?

Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

D1, Like the source unit.

Ehh... Hertz sucks, nothing more than one of the best around.... HERTZ nice!

Down will be a tad bit better.

The BACK WALL and doors are the worst in these.

Dynamat everything. Floors, Doors, (that rhymes...) back wall, roof. Thatll take a good bit. 2 layers is better.

Cap prolly not.

Uhh... I would recommend better amps but if they need to work its very possible. Your shop will know the correct spks to match.

I like the D1 too. I have Back up cam and blue tooth, but my touchscreen is off!!! and I have read the forums on how to re-cal it, but it doesn't seem to work. I called pioneer and I have to send in with 200 bucks, and take 4-6 weeks. I cant live with a hole in my dash for that long. Might get the Avic D3

Do the off brand dyno mats work ok? What do you recomend?

You have heard hertz? They are actually good?

D3 is an awesome unit, but if you are going to do all that get the Z2...

I havent used much else. But, dynamat is by far the best out there.

They are worth it. I personally havent heard them, but know of their reputation and Don, 6spdcoupe, runs some of hertz stuff in his car. Thats all the proof I need.

What will sound better, one of those basic boxes with 2 10's, or one of the boxes with 1 12. Like the Thunderform. Looks too simple and its already made to match the color of the truck. I've never been a fan of the pre-formed boxes that come with a sub, but maybe they've gotten better over the years. Have you heard a Thunderform in a supercrew?

No, sure havent.

Just have your shop make you a custom box for the Hertz...
