component systems

anyone ever go to crutchfield and out fit their truck then click on component systems? my question is when it comes up it says front and rear door..does that mean u can run the same setup in the front doors as in the back? also where would u put the tweeters in the back doors? also anyone have any of these systems on?

Tweeters are pretty small and easy to find a place to mount, though tweeters are not omni-directional like lower frequency drivers are and thus should be mounted in a more or less straight line with the intended target (ears).

Personally, I am not a huge fan of Crutchfield in terms of products (they carry a lot of the popular stuff, but nothing that is really high-end), but they are one of the most helpfull of the D.I.Y. websites for car audio.

If you want to build a respectable system, I would go with a 3 way component system that has a mid and tweeter in the front and a true mid-bass speaker in the rear doors. Add a sub or two, amplify the whole setup and call it a day.

I have components in my Rear Doors. (supercab) I just tucked the tweeter against the "B" Pillar, So I didnt have to hear it and the people in the back can. Then I decreased the signal to them by 1/2. Clears up any problems I may have.

For the best possible answer to any question you post, the information in the upper right corner needs to be filled out.

Go to your local shops and find something that sounds good to you. Then ask questions about it. It might help just to hear it.
