Question 07 reg. cab speaker system

last year i got a 07 f150 for my 16th birthday and now i would like to put a new speaker system in my car because, quite frankly, the stock one is not that good. i would like to put a few subs and all new speakers in the sides. i have a aftermarked deck in there. i was wondering if there was any way to put a sub or two under the seats or have a box in the back without losing the usability of my middle seat. also, what are the best speakers for a reasonable amount of money.

thanks a lot

I completely understand that you are new, both to this forum and to real life, but there is a wonderful search feature on this site. My recommendation is to use that. This subject has been discussed numerous times.

Look for a member named Bartak1 on here. He has a reg cab and 2 12"s behind the seat and a full component system up front. Since you have attempted to find answers yourself and have been fruitless in your efforts, I will attempt to answer your questions.

The '04-'08 reg cab F-150's have an enormous amount of room behind the seats. I have seen everything from 1 10" to 4 10"s behind the seat with plenty of room to lean the seat back and not lose the use of center seat. I dont think you're gonna get anything under the seats.

Wasnt trying to be an a$$ a while ago, but it gets kinda monotonous answering the same questions over and over. Hope this helped.

Here is an old downfiring box I had...got 2.2ish cu ft out of that.

That box got F'ed up and I had to make another one so I just went with a small rectangle shaped box and came up with this. 1.3 cu ft total space....

Max box width is about 33ish inches long, between the passengers side and the molded seatbelt stuff on the back panel.

hey i was just at car toys and they said they could put in a system for me. they gave me a quote for a box for 2 10' subs and a amp for about 450. is this reasonable or are they trying to pull the wool over my eyes? the box comes air tight for double bass music and with wood carpet and install.

thanks again for all the help

Well my substage and amp cost me 650 bucks, and that wasnt installed, so you must be getting a deal....

What equipment did they set you up with, thats the only way we can tell you if you are getting ripped or not.
