Amount of DynoMat needed

Does anyone know how much DynoMat/ FatMat is needed to cover the doors, back wall and floor in a s'crew? Both a 2000 and a 2005? Looking to put a small stereo in my 05 and a small system in a friend's 2000.

FYI I hear Rammat is better and quite a bit less expensive.

Go to www.rammat.com and check it out. That is where I am going when I do mine.

Rick will give you an estimate on amount needed.

Let us know how it turns out.

Are you doing inner and outer door skins?

Dynamat Extreme is with no doubt the best sound deadening product available. You get what you pay for.

Are you doing 2 layers or how much. I really recommend buying abt 200sqft. That should do floor and everything then give you a good bit extra to do 2 layers.

Dynamat Xtreme is good I know, but I thought that Damplifier Pro, by
Second Skin Audio, is just as good. They are both made of Butyl, and are about the same thickness.

dynamat is the stuff.... but its just so damn expensive, and when you need 200 sqft its not really a cost effective option. most turn to inferior prodouct like fatmat, I'd stick to rammatt r second skin if your on a budget. it may not be quite as good ans dynamat extreme but I'd rather have 200 sqft of rammatt than 75 sq ft of dynamat any day

If you are referring to the sound deadening showdown, remember that was only the adhesive tests. The acoustic dampening tests have were not done in that test. All of the butly based deadeners resist heat better than the asphault deadeners. What I am saying is that people have compared dynamat extreme to the second skin product and said they are equally as good, have only gone by the adhesion tests.

I hope this helped some...

I've seen that website before, but I was just talking about the actual product in use. I know a guy in Paducah, KY that used Damplifier Pro, and it sounded good. But I dont know what to compare it too because it is the only one i've heard in use.
