Stupid Question

never really looked into audio systems at all on any vehicle but was thinking of putting subs in my truck, 2000 f150 scab. was just wondering if i could hook a sub into my stock head unit? i was looking at one 10" and a single chanel amp. would 10" be enough for a super cab? or should i go bigger?

thanks

You would need to get a Line Output Converter to hook it up to your factory stereo. One 10 is all I have, and its plenty for me.

Ditto here. 1 - 10" is enough for me personally.

As said, all you need is a LOC. Taps into your stock speaker wires and converts the high signal to low signal (rca type connections).

Whether or not one 10 is enough totaly depends on what your looking to get out of your setup. A single 10 usually works damn nicely for a SQ setup with a little bit of bump. You should def. know its there, and it usually wont be overpowering either.
Personally I would probably go crazy with only a single 10

Its the high pitched noises that are so much worse for your hearing. Lows arent the problem. Unless its 182 dB....
