What a glorious day.

So as some of you may know, there was a mishap with my previous box for my two Mags and I was just never in the mood to make another one. Luckily, I had made this box for a single Mag and had been using just one Mag for the last few months in THIS box...

1.3 cu ft before driver displacment. Well it came to me the other day that I remember Nick, from SI, saying these older Gen2 Mags will actually work pretty well in a small *** enclosure, so, I call up Nick today and ask him...

"What is the smallest I box I can use for a Gen 2 12" Mag??"
"1 cu ft per sub"
....
..
..
..
Bummer I thought to myself.
"Darn, Im trying to shove them in my regular cab and just cant fit that much space"
"Well .75 will work well enough"
"Hmmmm"
"Actually, we have used those older Mags inverted in boxes they wouldnt even physically fit into with great results"
" Oh really?"
"Yep"
"So I could make a box just big enough for them to fit in and it would work fine, say, .5 cu ft."
"With about a pound of poly fill, sure can"

WOOOOOOHHOOOOOOOOo

So this temporary box I had made for a single Mag was 1.3 cu ft. Well, two Mags take up about .3 cu ft, so that leaves me with .5 cu ft each...Fug yeah.
I ran out and cut a second hole in it, stuffed it will polyfill and now I have this...

Im excited I finally have both back in!!!!!
I was worried a bit about how they would sound but they sound GREAT, better than when I had them in the previous box I think. Lows arent quite there like they used to be as expected with a teeny tiny box, and output is a little less, but it will still knock your socks off-they do damn good for getting half their rated power in a sealed box about half their optimum size. I would not be able to physically fit these in any smaller of a box.

So anywho, that made my day, just though I would share LOL

That's shocking that they'll run on that little air space. I am guessing it's a little tighter but just won't drop as low? Very cool man and congrats!

Im pretty shocked about it too.

Def. not the lows that I had, which I miss becaues I LOVE low chit, but it still gets low enough to shake the whole steering column up and down a decent amount...

thats awesome, good stuff.

Just seeing that is getting me very excited for my new substage, finally having 2 subs is going to be so much better then the underpowered single sub system i am currently running.
