ok thanks to you guys help i decided to go with the kicker comp 12s in the kicker ported box combo..i heard it at the music store and it sounded good and loud how i wanted it..i will be pushing them with the sony xplod 1000 watt amp..2 channel..i know thats not the greatest amp but the guy said it will do fine until i can get another..what do you guys think? and how should i wire the subs to the amp..bridged? or would that be too much power?

The guys a moron. That combo will not work with the amp. You need a 2 ch for a 4 ohm bridged. Your setup is a 2 ohm. You need a one channel amp.

TAKE IT BACK. PREFERABLY THE AMP!!! SONY eXPLODS

Basically all it is is a ported box with 6" or 8" round pvc port. I would look at better quality stuff to begin with, then buying something and upgrading piece by piece later on.
