Ok so i finally have got the time to build me a subbox. Next week im probably going to be off all week so i might as well strip the interior and do my box and all the wiring for it along with a few other details ive been planning.

The only thing im hung up on is the jack. Im set on running two tens, so the jack has to go, but i dont want to NOT have it somewhere.

I thought about relocating it to the underside maybe by the rear right framerail. that location gets really dirty, and im afraid all the dirt, mud, and crap will affect it for when i need to use it.

Ive also thought of locating it somewhere in the bed, but the thought of that ugly thing just sitting in the bed gives me nightmares. I want out of sight, out of mind, but peace of mind too.

I havent checked, but i think it may fit under the front pass seat.
Maybe above the spare tire?

Anyone do something creative on mounting the jack?
I have already had to use it once in a bind, so i really dont want to be without it.

I recall of someone making brakets to put it under the hood, and someone who wrapped it up in a plastic bad and stuck it in the spare tire.

 

threw mine in the trash and got a 3 ton floor jack in a box in the bed! i was going to keep it in the cab under passenger seat but decided to get a real jack.

 

i had the exact same thoughts but when it came down to it my jack is just rolling around on the floor in the back right now haha

if you do a search you will find a couple of options, its just whether they work for you or not. ill eventually find a place for it on the inside, one of these days.
