Suggestions on new speakers?

I need to replace my stock speakers. So does anyone know of any good speakers under $500 that will replace all 4 speakers in my truck. Or should I get tweeters, or component speakers? I have a 2005 F150 Extened cab.

Do you plan on amping them or are you going to power them off of the headunit? Stock headunit or aftermarket?

I have an amp and subs so im not really using the speakers for any "Bass". I just need the sound to be clearer and a little louder. I could run them off an amp or the Head Unit, whatever will sound better. And if I do amp them what amp would you guys suggest?

haha I just read the whole KingRanch thread. I know where he's coming from. Im not going to be a pain, I promise! I just want to know a good set of component speakers and what amp to use for my front two door speakers (From what I read replacing the backs are pointless). And if anyone has picutres of where they mounted their tweeters please post or leave links! If im just replacing the front then I want to spend around $300 on everything.

I have:
1. Stock Speakers
2. Kenwood Excellon Amp
3. Two 10" Kicker Comp VR's.
4. 2 Farrad Cap
5. Pioneer DEH-P7800MP HU

If that helps any, Thanks guys.

for a solid pair of comps and the correct amp to push them, along with wiring, you're going to need a bit more then 300.

Would I be able to hook up a pair of Components to my stock wires and then when I get the money wire them into an amp?

Hold your wallet for a second. If your budget is $300 for comps, amp and amp install kit here is an option;

1. The US Amp on ebay------------------$140
2. Knu Koncepts Amp kit --and extra items---- $73
3. Phoenix Gold RSD 6.5cs --audiosavings.com--$87
Total $300
