factory sub harness

Hey guys/gals, a few questions for you...

I have a 2006 F150 Supercrew XLT. It has the 6 disc/mp3 premium sound system, non-audiophile. A friend of mine has the audiophile head unit and sub/amp for sale. I would love to have it, however, my truck does not have the subwoofer harness installed.

Is the sub harness something I can order from Ford and install myself? Or is there another way around it?

Or am I just SOL?

Thanks,

Look inside your dash around the radio and see if the sub-harness plug is in there somewhere. Alot of times it is taped to the metal support of the dash. If you find it, the other end is under the back seat on the drivers side. You may have to pull the seat and carpet to get to it. Now, I'm not sayin that you do have it, it's a 50-50 shot that you do, it all depends on where your truck was built, and who supplied the harness at the time.

Now, if your one of the lucky ones and your truck has the sub harness already there, all you have to do is plug in the audiophile deck and the sub enclosure and your golden.

Here is a link to the harness plugs on the back of the deck

With these you could make your own harness if needed, do a search for audiophile sub wiring scematics or something similar.
