Question Full system 1300?

Hi, I got a buddy that just reenlisted and was lookin to spend around 1200-1300 on a system. He has a 06' Crew Cab FX-4, it has the 6-disk changer it isnt the premium system. He isn't worried about seperate tweeters and doesn't want it window shaking loud. Also wants a underseat sub box. I gave him a few suggestions but yall are pretty good w/ this. If there are anymore questions, I will ask him.

here is the list I showed him:
Head Unit- Pioneer DEH-P3900MP
Mono Amp- Infinity Reference 1300a
Sub- JL Audio Stealthbox Single 10"
2-way speakers- Infinity Reference 6822cf (front and back 6x8)

This came out to 1197.92. I priced it from Crutchfield(i know they are alittle high) The only thing that I couldnt find on the website was amp wire kit. Thanks Alot

you can do wa better than tha for the same price by not shoping at crutchfield

knukonceptz.com will have the wiring kit and supplies you need. I highly recommend buying all your wire needs from them

head unit is a personal choice. I perfer te look f a double din dvd player in a vehicle as nice as the f150.. I would also look into using a 5 channel amp, the substge is a good start, Infinity is over rated and oval speakers have bad sq. I would recomend going with more expensive 5.25 or 6.5 components up front in a deadened door and run stock 5x7s in the back for a little fill, with the fader about 2 notched from all the way to the front

Infinity amps tend to overheat. NOT A FAN
Infinity speakers can be overly bright or harsh
Higher end Pioneers give you more sound shaping ability
Alpines have better SQ than the Pioneers
JL Stealth is a nice choice.
+1 For Knukoncepts

STYX- Ovals arent necessarily bad. Just not always the best either....

ovals not optimal, I'd run it if I didn't have a choice, however if I was looking to upgrade and buying speakers I'd look for round
