your friends won't know the difference as long as they don't hear distortion or something ugly like that..... unless they are big into audio. really if they can hear a lot of bass and a loud full range setup that is distortion free they'll be aight.

low-e-red is right, you do have to look at how you use a system, I drive by myself 99.9 percent of the time. only rarely do I have one passenger let alone two... I think I had a person ride back there since I had the truck. I also play 100% stereo music, now if you have backseat passengers or play 5.1 stuff a lot then rear fill is nice to have. but its not something you should focus a lot of time and money on.

low_e_red were not totaly opposites.... I just don't have a lot of funds to play with right now. gotta be frugal. and gota go slooooooow. those cheap 5x7s will be a hair better than the stock ovals I'm running now, they'll have to do till I can get those germs or profis I want since I have a ecent 2 chanel amp waiting for something good. I do like the 7.1 for computer games. I just needed a little more oomph in the low end. I figure 2 EHQS 12's in t-lines with a 350w plate amp should **** my neighbors off real good... I just hope the t-lines are good enuff, I might go with a 6 foot cube tuned to 25hz if I don't like it... or mabe front loaded horns, who knows. cool thing bout my 7.1 sound card is the software controlled delay/eq/and phase settings.... makes me want that RF 3sixty even more now

kicker 350.4 amp for door speakers
2 12's kicker l7's in a custom made ported box not yet made(need one made )
1500.1 kicker amp for subs
2 5" audio pipe titanium tweeters 800 rms total (these are for my extreme highs to put in the grill for outside screaming highs just for fun and to draw attention
1200 watt 2ch sony xplod amp 550 rms for the titanium super tweeters
jensen vm9412 7" touch screen for HU

how do u think this will sound

 

honestly that's not a very impressive setup.... sonys xplod amps really suck, jensen is on par with pyle, boss, volvenhag and dual. don't even bother with ading extra tweeters, the infinity tweeters are harsh enuff. the kicker amps are decent, and the l7s while not real good with SQ can get pretty loud.... honetstly the money you are wasting on rear fill, super tweeters and a sony amp would be better spent on a much better kenwood, pioneer, eclipse, alpine or even JVC double din dvd screen. Rainbow components that cost as much as the kappas would be money better spent

the subs and amp are an ok choice for your goal tho,

I'm not trying to knock the stuff, I'm trying to steer you in a better direction because honestly, most people serious into car audo would just shug their shoulders at everything but the kicker stuff

everyone is always talking about rainbow speakers. where is the best place to buy a pair? can some one give me a part number for a decent pair that will fit in my front doors? i checked out their website and there was no prices that i saw and i dont know jack about speakers so the site wasnt helpful

dont have an amp for my speakers now, plan to get one but want to run speakers just off the H/U for now

 

ok well thanks and the sony amp i already have i had it hooked up to 3 10's mtx and sold the 2 tens have one left hooked up to it so i just have the extra amp and figured wth i will put super tweeters in my grill for the heck of it
and for dvd player idc it may not be the greatest qulity i just want a dvd player so as long as it works its fine with me lol
and the subs i heard get really loud thats what i want just really hard banging bass lol
and the tweeters i want so when i play a cd that has cop sirens on it its really loud bc i play on getting strobe s to have fun with

also i am only a 17 year old senior soon to be 18
and i have around a 2k dollar budget for everything

Alright King Ranch you say you have 2k to spend so I am going to build you a setup that I would choose If i had 2k to spend. I know this is your first system so you want hard knocking bass. But believe me you will grow out of that chit really fast. So I will recomend everything, give you the links and prices, the only thing you need to do is get your daddy's plastic.
Subs- I would recomend you either the TC-1000's or the SI BM's. Both are excelent sql drivers (sound quality loud) They will both hit extremely hard but at the same time give you nice CLEAN sounding bass. The BM's can be had on Clearance for $170 a piece at Low-hz.com and the TC sounds for $150 from TCsounds.com. I assume you were planning on getting a custom box built for you so that will probably be about $300 bucks (thats how much I charge and is pretty much standard for that kind of box) and you will also need a seat lift from LMIwelding.com which is $155 shipped. So you're looking at about $1074 for the BM's and $1034 for the TC's

Now Components.

You will need a new head unit. You only have about $400 left to spend and you cant find a decent double din for that much. I would get this Alpine CDA-9885 for $219 from sonic electronix. If it were me I would save my money and get a kenwood 6019 but thats just me.

The only thing else I would but is eDead and its $.80 a sq ft. you need about 120ft

 

thats a good setup jwool. But, with that much power to both of those amps, im afraid he will also need a big 3 upgrade, and a new battery, maybe a new alternator. (correct me if im wrong, im just assuming he doesnt want dimmed lights at night etc.)

that kicker wire kit can be had on ebay for 85 shipped. just search "kicker 1/0" and it comes right up.

 

thanks msall. I am running over 3500 watts and before friday It was on a stock motorcraft battery with no big 3. I just recently got an optima yellow top. It helped with the dimming emensly. But i still need to do a big 3. He can do it.

My opinion is scratch the CRAPhonics and LMI kit for a better screen

 

Hmmm new SLCs (biampable w/CAL25 tweet), KX165s, Eclipse 3100, DLS A7 .. add sub of your choice. Just saved about $700+ and would have a sweet sounding setup.

This took me about 7secs to think up, so yea I coulda did even better.
